MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Applications for membership are available at the Clubhouse and upon completion should be delivered to Valley Hill Country Club, 8300 Valley Hill Drive, Huntsville, Alabama35802.  You will be contacted by the Membership Director once your application has been approve by the Board of Governors. Applications for Membership

 

1.     All applications for membership shall be signed by the applicant who shall be recommended in writing by at least two (2) Class “A” Members in good standing and who is personally acquainted with the applicant. The application shall state whether the applicant is married or single, the residence and post office address of the applicant. Members recommending an applicant shall be required to state in writing the qualifications of the applicant. An individual applying for a corporate membership is to be considered an applicant, and his application shall be subject to the provisions of this section of the Bylaws.

 

2.     The Membership Committee shall first consider the application and with its recommendation transmit to the Board of Governors all such information as it shall have acquired about the applicant, and the Board of Governors (whose proceedings thereon shall be secret, confidential and final) shall act upon the application. The vote shall be by ballot and three (3) negative votes shall disapprove of the applicant. Each application shall be passed upon separately. No person failing to be approved for membership shall again be proposed as an applicant for membership until after the expiration of one (1) year from the time such applicant was last considered by the Board of Governors.

 

3.     The names and residences of persons proposed for membership, together with the names of members recommending them, shall be continuously posted on the bulletin board of the Club by the Secretary for one week prior to being acted upon by the Board of Governors.
