Meet Jay Mclelland our PGA Golf Professional.

Jay Mclelland is starting his 7^th golf season as the golf professional at Valley Hill Country Club.  Jay came to VHCC after spending time at other private golf facilities around the country. He has played in a number of PGA and Nationwide events in his career. He has been a member of the PGA of America for over 18 years and has been certified in club fitting by Ping, Titleist, and Callaway.  Jay?s foresight and long-term commitment have played an important role in the day-to-day success of the Club.   Jay has instructed  many junior golfers that have gone on to play at the college level.

Meet Matt Hudgins our Assistant Golf Professional.

Matt started playing golf at age eleven.  As his game excelled he played in many junior events across the U.S.  He played golf at Bob Jones High School and graduated in 1997. Matt turned pro after high school and played on the Hooters tour as well as other mini-tour events and state opens. After the mini- tours Matt had a stint of being a caddie on the Japanese Tour.  Before Valley Hill CC, Matt was the assistant at Huntsville Municipal Golf Course. Along with years of playing experience, he has a great passion for teaching juniors and adults. Matt has assisted in many different junior programs through-out the Huntsville area.
